Located on the edge of the imposing Andes mountain range, Mendoza is both a city and a province. Bordered to the west by the Andes and to the east by a vast desert, the region enjoys natural protection from many diseases and malicious insects that might otherwise pose a threat to the grapes, fruit trees, olive trees, and other wonderful local products. Although Mendoza is predominantly desert, ancient irrigation systems created by indigenous peoples have transformed the city into a green oasis.

A highlight of Amazing Mendoza Tours 5 day adventure will be spectacular views of the Andes. On the tour you’ll travel into the heart of the mountain range, where every curve in the road reveals a breathtaking view of the precipitous peaks, with an expert guide to alert you to the bird, animal and plant life as well as the geological and archaeological features.

You’ll also visit organic farms and wineries, wine and dine on excellent local produce, olive oil and wines, and participate in a cooking class, where you’ll prepare traditional products such as Argentine beef, sweet potatoes and wild mushrooms, using traditional methods and implements.
